There’s More To El Nido Than Just Outstanding Islands!

El Nido Inland Tours - Another View On Palawan

El Nido is renowned for its beautiful islands, white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters and blue lagoons. But there’s more than island hopping in El Nido! As a true tropical paradise, the area offers beautiful things to see while staying off the boat: waterfalls, cliff climbing, caves, hot springs and beaches. If you stay in El Nido more than a few days, it’s definitely worth check out!

Located in the northern part of Palawan, El Nido is surrounded by mountains, mangroves and tropical forests hosting no less than 114 species of birds… but also monkeys, lizards (such as geckos, varans and iguanas) and other endemic mammal species. The flora and fauna of El Nido is part of what makes it such a beautiful place. Exploring this Protected Area is a one-of-a-kind experience and you can do it thanks to an organized inland tour.

How Does An Inland Tour In El Nido Go?

There are different places you can discover during an inland tour: Nacpan Beach, Makinit Hot Springs, Taraw Cliff, The Ille Cave, Las Cabanas Beach and Nagkalit-Kalit Waterfalls. These places are free to access and you can go there on your own.

Take the Road with a Motorbike and Explore Inland Palawan

If you decide to go there on your own, you can either hire a tricycle, or rent a vehicle (scooter, semi-automatic or manual motorbike). The second option will often be cheaper (for instance, hiring a tricycle to go to Nacpan Beach costs around 1000PHP). The problem of going on your own is that you won’t know the exact way…

The other option you have is to go with a tour guide that will guide you all the way. You will also benefit from their knowledge of the area and its history, which is a benefit in itself: you’ll get to learn more about El Nido!

Note that there is one thing should absolutely not do on your own: the Taraw cliff climbing. If you’d like to climb the cliff overlooking El Nido (and get an amazing view on it), you should definitely go with a guide that will show you the safest path to the top. We can add that this activity should be reserved to those in good physical condition, and that it’s better to avoid doing in flip-flops.

What Is “El Nido Tour E”? And Where Will It Take You?

The Cultural Tour in El Nido, Palawan: A Must-Do!

The Inland Tour is sometimes called “El Nido Tour E (in addition to the 4 main island hopping tours: A, B, C and D).
