Description

Observe the playful Spinner dolphins (Stenella longirostris) who live next to the Puerto Princesa Bay between the months of April and October each year. This half-day dolphin watching activity will bring you to a close encounter with one of the mosts fascinating marine mammal species.

In a manner which respects the international whale-watching guidelines, you will approach group(s) of wild dolphins swimming in the bay area. You may witness the dolphins (called lumba-lumba in tagalog) cruising, jumping, or even swimming under the pressure wave of your boat. This is a one of kind activity to have while staying in Puerto Princesa, Palawan!

Schedule and activities

The day will start with a pickup at your hotel (which must be located within Puerto Princesa City proper limits) around 6:30AM. You will be transported to Puerto Princesa Baywalk Park where you will board the whale-watching boat.

The crew will then proceed to the areas of the Puerto Princesa bay where the dolphins have been spotted. Light snacks are available on the boat. The return to town is set to approximately 10:30AM.

Rate and confirmation deposits

  • Rate: P1,000 per person

In order to book your dolphin watching activity, you’ll simply have to pay a confirmation deposit of P200 per person. You’ll be able to pay the remaining balance directly upon pickup in the morning of your activity.

Important notice about dolphin watching

Dolphins are wild animals who travel in groups commonly called “pods”. Of course, these pods travel freely and dolphins might be unseen or difficult to spot on certain days.

Please note that your dolphin watching activity might have to be cancelled for reasons which include but are not limited to bad weather, lack of participants or absence of dolphins being spotted. In that event, you will of course  be offered to reschedule your activity to the next available day or to get a refund of your booking, at your convenience.
